At Hundefreund Haus K-9 we have a unique puppy philosophy. Our German Shepherd dogs are meant to be members of your family! "Hundefreund" translates into dog friend. Your puppy is a commitment and investment, both in terms of time and money. We believe you should have a long term relationship with your kennel of choice. We want to be that kennel of choice.
Our German Shepherd dogs produce outstanding puppies. We choose our dogs based on excellent genetic traits that will produce stable temperments, sound structural health, and diverse workability.
The amount of time that we put into your pups' early socialization and environmental stimulations is of utmost importance to us. In this way we are able to provide a pup that is ready to put those excellent genetics to good use no matter what you choose to do with your pup.
Our puppies are born in our home not in a kennel. We stay by mother's side throughout the delivery of her pups offering assistance, encouragement and love where needed. This ensures that both Mom and the pups are well cared for and healthy from the start. Our mothers and pups stay in a large, comfortable whelping box until they are 4 weeks of age.
Our family and, mother permitting, our close friends interact with our pups daily. At 4 weeks of age the pups inhabit our home where they become accustomed to the everyday sounds of a busy home life. This is where the early stages of imprinting and socialization start.
When they become more active, our pups are moved into our indoor kennel facility where they will become accustomed to the sights and sounds of our adult dogs.
We love our puppies and spend a great deal of time with them each day. We observe each one closely, each and every day, as they grow. By the time they are ready to
be placed into their new families, we are aware of each pup's unique personalitly and temperment. This enables us to assist our clients in correctly choosing a puppy which is well suited to their needs and to their family.
